Writer/Designer Reading Journal #20 Feedback loop

 A method for checking your work with your stakeholders. The process of designing then getting feedback from the client or supervisor then revising and redesigning and then back again in a loop until everyone is happy. If I were to make a piece of art for a client I would get info for what they want then I would do a mock up and then the client would tell me what they think and I would make any necessary changes until the client was satisfied.

 Association uses an idea or concept related to your main purposes and uses a part of it to stand for a whole. Using one part of something to convey the whole thing. Logos use association a lot .Logos may start with the name of a company but as soon as they are known they can be just a symbol that is associated with the brand like the Nike swish

 Representation is re-presenting, re-designing, and re-communicating. Essentially it's using an element or image to present something. Using balloons to symbolize a celebration or roses to symbolize love and romance.

 A sub-genre is a group of similar genres that fall under the same category.  essentially its a category of a category Like classic-rock, pop-rock, Alt-rock.

Conventions are the features that audiences expect from a text, Things that are expected in a design or situation. Like in designs made for kids you expect bright colors in the design.

 Genre is static categories of texts in broad terms. Genre is a way to describe a type of something. Like music a genre tells what type of music like country or rap or classical or pop.

 Proximity means closeness in space. Proximity in design is how close elements are placed together and how that creates relationships If you had a bunch of circles all equidistant from each other they would be one uniform group but if some were closer to others it would separate them.
