 Proximity means closeness in space.

Proximity in design is how close elements are placed together and how that creates relationships

If you had a bunch of circles all equidistant from each other they would be one uniform group but if some were closer to others it would separate them.

 Color is helpful when determining emphasis in a visual text. Color is an element of art and design that has a wide array of uses. It can be used to create unity it can also be used to create contrast. It can also be a tool to create eye flow. Using colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel will produce a high contrast effect while using colors close to each other will create a more harmonious result. Warm colors will stand out against cool colors and demand more attention.
